Leslie -
I think this is a great idea. It will be useful for students looking for
ways to participate in OSS projects, as you describe.
In addition, as a faculty member, I'll be curious to see what projects
show up on the list. The OSS universe is quite large, and it's hard to
figure out what projects might be receptive to having students
participate. Having a list like this would be a good resource for faculty
trying to find projects to develop some relationship with.
