The schedule looks fine to me (though I'll be China-jetlagged and 
probably unconscious in Raleigh for most of it, so... take notes and 
pictures!)

I would write a description of the summit more tailored towards 
profs/students than 
http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/linuxcon/mini-summits for 
spamming - er, I mean sending - out, include cost details (do you have 
to register for LinuxCon to attend? is there a discount for academics?) 
and perhaps ask area profs you know to spread the word to their departments.
