generate comments on Guzdial’s blog.

I think if this conversation happens only within this list Mark
Guzdial’s opinion will carry more weight because it is more public.
Do you want that to happen?

The Internet allows us to properly challenge a pundit's opinion, but
if we counter it with private conversations, we're back to the era
where the owner of the printing press has more de facto weight.
