Wonderful group and gathering. If you'll be anywhere near SFO in early
June, or know students/postdocs/colleagues/etc in the area who might be
interested in this, please spread the word and encourage them to apply;
these sorts of conversation spaces (about diversity, gender,
interdisciplinarity, etc.) can be tough to find in the FOSS world
sometimes, but they're *incredibly* important.

Note that this is a Free *Culture* gathering, which includes Free
*Software* but also content, hardware, remix culture, fanfic,
government, etc. (more description below) so women's studies,
journalism, liberal arts, film, etc. folks should *totally* also come!

(And if you're going, let us know!)

AdaCamp is a conference dedicated to increasing women's participation
in open technology and culture: open source software, Wikipedia-related
projects, open data, open geo, fan fiction, remix culture, and more.
AdaCamp brings women together to build community, discuss issues women
have in common across open technology and culture fields, and find ways
to address them.

AdaCamp San Francisco will be in San Francisco, California with a track
for women on Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9, 2013, with an allies
track open to people of any gender on Saturday June 8. Applications are
open to everyone, and closes April 30. http://sf.adacamp.org/apply/
