Hi Folks,

Are you looking for a project to involve your students in for a software
engineering or capstone course? Open Energy Dashboard (OED) is a
sustainability project that is Humanitarian Free and Open Source
(HFOSS). It has been developed by faculty and students and is in use to
understand and improve energy use on multiple college campuses.

OpenPace, an NSF-funded project, has an opportunity for a class to
become involved in the Open Energy Dashboard project during a term of
academic year 2021-22. The effort will include mentoring by Dr. Steve
Huss-Lederman, founder of the project who has guided students from
multiple institutions including Beloit College, Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute, Western New England University, and more.

The ideal class would be a project-based junior or senior level course,
possibly a software engineering or capstone course. This opportunity
would allow students to learn within an authentic real-world project and
make contributions that will advance sustainability on multiple campuses.
