I agree that trac is a good candidate. It's pretty light weight from an
admin standpoint, and it has a simple enough front-end to not confuse
students with over-complicated UI.
Would you like me to toss up a hosted trac/svn instance at OSL? I'm
glad to do so, or help out however I can should you prefer to host it
elsewhere.
