My suggestion was to post their call for new developers here,
with the intention of having some of you forwarding that call
to your students.


But, I see your point that this will be distracting for this list,
if it becomes routine to make such postings.


We need a separate resource/venue for making these sort of
announcements. At TOS 2009 we talked about the need of an
online system that will disseminate information about needs
in FOSS projects and help to find matching developers.

Such system should take into account, both mature projects
(e.g. a Genome, a KDE), and projects that are in their early
stages (with just one or two developers doing all the pushing).
