This POSSE hasn't been formally approved yet, in part because we don't
have instructors lined up. The instructors listed on the wiki page are
Michael, Jan, Pierros, and myself - but I know I've said earlier that I
*can't* make it to South Africa to teach on those dates, and haven't
seen confirmation from Pierros or Jan that they're willing and able to
instruct. What we have, I think, is a list of instructors that the
organizers would *like* to have in Nigeria - which isn't sufficient. We
also don't have a budget proposal, etc. which means a budget hasn't been
approved either.

I do want to see POSSE Nigeria happen, and am extremely grateful for all
the work that Michael's been putting in - however, we're not ready to
pull the "go" switch on this yet - which is in large part my fault for
not being clear about requirements and due dates - and I personally
don't have any bandwidth before the New Year to help get it in shape for
March.

Trying to brainstorm about how to unblock this: Michael, would it be
possible to move the POSSE to a later date - perhaps in June or July, so
it can be planned in parallel with the North American summer 2011 events?

Alternatively, if I'm given something very concrete (instructor
confirmations, exact budgets, attendee applications, etc - I don't have
time to specify the format of this right now) to say yes to in terms of
approving use of the POSSE brand and unlocking some Red Hat budget,
either Max or I can say yes - but I don't want to make you pour more
work into something that we may look at and say "eh, we didn't tell you
what we were looking for, but that wasn't what we were looking for, so
we still can't approve it."
