[TOS] OSCON 2010: Writing sprint for "lives of teachers" seems odd?

Hi Matt,

I would think that the topic still makes a lot of sense,
but I agree with you in that the format of a writing sprint
is probably not a good fit for the people that will be
attending the event at OSCON.

It probably should be a presentation.

The advantage of presenting this topic is that it brings a
very pragmatic perspective on how the rewards systems
of educational institutions work, and how we should take
that into account in order to make FOSS courses widespread.

During many of the other presentations we are asking
practitioners : "how do you think that we can do this better ?",
in this talk we can share with them the constraints that
drive the activities of educators.

The point is that there are many activities that may look
very appealing from the point of view of FOSS practitioners,
but that may not fly in to environment of an educational
institution. This talk may help conciliate these two worlds.

---

Adding another proposal to present tools for using
the Arduino sounds like an excellent idea.

   My 2 cents,

       Luis
