Piggybacking on conference participation sounds like a great idea -
brainstorming here, I wonder if it would actually be worth putting this
out there as a challenge - for instance, "if 20 professors sign up,
we'll bring a POSSE to Nigeria."

What if we said something like "as soon as we've got 20 registered
attendees with their applications in and a location confirmation, the
instructors on your instructor-request list will be funded to go there
and teach a POSSE"? You send me a bundle of applications and written
confirmation from the host uni, and the list of people you'd like to
come teach there, and within 5 days instructors will have travel
logistics booked and you'll be on.

Thoughts? I'm exploring options here, not making commitments, but wonder
if that might be a useful (and much clearer) way to frame what we're
working towards.

That would be great, Michael - thanks! I'm sure the rest of the TOS list
is interested in hearing what plans there are for moving TOS and POSSE
forward in Africa over the next few school years.
