For feature comparison, I find that they are about on par.  The
biggest thing that I find github has over gitorious is the bug
tracker/discussion features.  When I use github, I feel that it is
easier to communicate with the developer(s) as you can put in bug
reports or other feedback to the developer through github, no need to
join a mailing list to contact the developers.  Overall I feel that
feature is the reason I use github over gitorious.
