Thank you, Mel.  I appreciate the situation you're trying to manage.

I initially came here seeking the educational materials that this
group has the expertise to develop.  I have since come to understand
it is also a potential source for an understanding of how to approach
the teaching mission.  Surely any discussion of particular incidents
can be sanitized through a few iterations of the discussion such that
it can be shared as a wiki page or as a single posting to the more
general mailing list.  Your solution seems to carry a lot of merit.
