Hello,
I have read many of the previous conversations on this list but was
unable to subscribe until recently.
This last year I and a partner completed a research survey examining the
role of legitimate peripheral participation in the GNU/Linux community.
4605 respondents completed the survey.
The results have been published in a few typical formats. However, I'm
writing to share the link to a results wiki where the results are
examined / parsed as part of introduction to R.
In short here is an intro to R with some open data examining learning in
the Linux community:

I like the idea of compiling a list of scholarly articles examining open
source communities. I notice that the list on the TOS page is very
brief. Is this due to some criteria which I'm not aware of or simply due
to normal human time constraints?
Regards,
D Davis
