Cyberlearning projects in general -- very much not CS-specific, Jeremi
is an industrial engineer and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, a
citizen-science initiative for birdwatching, is on the list, for
instance. And interdisciplinary projects, and non-STEM projects, and...
That having been said, cyberlearning proposals *do* seem to come mostly
from the STEM-ish realm.
Jeremi is here:
https://engineering.purdue.edu/ENE/People/profile?resource_id=63374 and
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jeremi-london/a/920/192
However, before we all flood her inbox -- remember! Jeremi isn't from
the open source world! She's a grad student midway through her academic
program, and has done this project on cyberlearning *but* does not (yet)
have any specific interest in or familiarity with TOS or with FOSS in
general -- so you may need to do more explaining of where you are and
where you come from. Put on your "talk to academics" hat here.
I just got an email from her saying that she's swamped with a paper
right now; we're trying to meet but that may not get to happen until
after FIE at this point (so, 2 weeks from now). That having been said,
if you have particular detailed time-sensitive requests or bits of
information you think she'd appreciate, don't let me block you from
making contact. :) She's really cool and I think would be quite
receptive to more people taking interest in her work!
