Hi Folks,

Yes, ACM events are generally highly thought of. And this looks quite
interesting. Timing isn't good for me in particular as this is my first week
of classes, but this looks like another good publication venue for us
academics. I'll add it to my list.

Tom, I'm not directly familiar with the community, but I think that it might
be a good place to recruit for TOS. It looks to me like it would tap an
audience unfamiliar with TOS, yet one that is highly related. I'm not
familiar with anyone on the program committee except possibly Debra Bryant.
It looks to me like the population might be non-US which is an audience that
TOS hasn't tapped widely.

Just my thoughts.
Heidi

Is anyone aware of or involved with OpenSym (formerly WikiSym)?

This looks like an ACM event in Berlin, Germany (August 27-29), but it
caught my eye because it has track-specific calls for research papers in
Open Educational Resources and Free/Libre/Open Source Software.

http://www.opensym.org/os2014/submission/general-call/

The paper submission deadline is April 20.
