open source software that has a humanitarian purpose such as food
pantries, sustainability, disaster management, or health care.

Workshop Format: This workshop has two stages:

·     Stage 1 - Starts April 25, 2022, with online activities. These
activities will take 2-3 hours/week and be completed asynchronously.  In
addition, you will meet synchronously with facilitators and participants.

College in Garden City, NY May 24-25.  Participants will include the
workshop organizers and POSSE alumni.

Join the community of over 175 faculty members who have attended POSSE
and are interested in their students doing social good by participating
in HFOSS.

How to Apply:   http://foss2serve.org/index.php/POSSE_2022-05.

Prior work with open source is not required. More than one applicant per
institution is encouraged. Application deadline is April 20, 2022. We

Participant Support: NSF funding will provide up to $500 for travel, as
well as 2 nights lodging and meals during the workshop.

safety, we will require all in-person workshop attendees to show proof
of COVID-19 vaccination and booster prior to attending the workshop. We
will follow the CDC's recommended masking protocols and may require
masking of all attendees when indoors. We will review our health and
safety protocols closer to the time of the workshop and will clearly
communicate our expectations to all attendees. As we approach the event,
we will have a document with all pertinent information and ask you to
sign your agreement to the terms of attendance. Unfortunately, we will
